Sex Is Fun (GreatSexGames.com)

Physical Description
Deck of 100 playing cards with 2 pages of written instructions. Paper quality is excellent and on par with what you'd expect from any good deck of playing cards. Printing quality is fair with some notable color variation and a few miscuts. Play requires a not-included score keeping mechanism (i.e. poker chips). See sample card images here.

Basic Rules
The deck gets divided in two, half the deck for him and half for her, then sub-divided further into 6 categories for each player. Players take turns drawing cards and following printed instructions. Points are earned for knowing or predicting your partner's responses as well as for strategic play. Length of game depends on your chosen scoring goals and can last from less than an hour to several weeks.  See written rules sheet here.

Unique Features
This game has a playfully competitive twist that I have not seen in other adult games, strategy borrows from poker and includes bluffing and wagers. Game focus is not about initiating sexual activity but rather sexual discussion and discovery (sex will follow though, trust me!).

Target Audience
As the game title's subtext states, this is "a game of intimate sexual discovery". Couples still learning about each other or who need a catalyst for intimate discussion will find this game both fun and useful for sexual exploration with each other. Couples in long term relationships (like we are) who are already openly communicative about sex and desire may not experience the full potential of this game.

Down Sides
Because this game is intended to spawn communication and learning between couples, it runs a short trip to obsolescence for any given couple. However, with some creativity on the part of players I can see that repeated play might be redirected to initiating activity in unpredictable ways.
At $50 the retail price is on par with decent sex toys (which this is) but seems a little steep for a deck of cards. I suspect production cost is high. I've done my share of printing and when I consider that Sex Is Fun is 5 cents per card the retail price doesn't sound that unreasonable to me.

Our Experience
Jane and I have been married for 16 years and talk openly about sexual topics with each other so this game did not really push any boundaries or open any new doors for us. Still... there were funny and surprising things we learned about each other that have since come back as playful jabs and inside jokes.

Disclaimer: Dick and Jane received this product free of cost in exchange for an honest review.
